‘This is what will happen with such politics’, former Bihar President Akhilesh is advising Congress

Before the Bihar assembly elections, Congress had made a change. Rajesh Ram was made the president by removing Akhilesh Prasad Singh. In the election results, the entire alliance including Congress suffered a crushing defeat. Now on this issue, former Bihar Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh has strongly criticized the leaders of his own party. He said in front of Bihar Congress co-incharge Shahnawaz Alam that it was these people who removed him (Akhilesh Prasad Singh). Akhilesh questioned the Congress on its policy of ‘Whoever participates, he has that much share’ and said that if this kind of politics continues, this is what will happen. According to Akhilesh, he had also asked questions to Rahul Gandhi after the election results.

Interestingly, Akhilesh Prasad was considered close to Lalu Yadav. The trio of Krishna Alavaru, Kanhaiya Kumar and Shahnawaz Alam, who became in-charge at the time of Bihar elections, played a decisive role to a large extent. This trio made Rajesh Ram the president. Due to the insistence of Krishna Alavaru, Congress was not agreeing to less than 60 seats and the situation of confusion remained till the end. Amidst all this, Akhilesh Prasad Singh was completely marginalized and no opinion was being taken from him. Akhilesh Prasad, who remained mostly quiet since then, has now expressed his views in front of the party leaders.

Akhilesh Prasad lashed out at Congress leaders only.

Akhilesh Prasad Singh has said, ‘I was the president at that time. Shahnawaz ji became the secretary of AICC at that time. Another companion went with him. Another one went in charge. First of all these people removed me. The result after removal is worth understanding. If we had stayed, perhaps it would not have happened that Congress would have won 5-6 seats. We had brought that much by winning 4 MP seats. Salman Saheb knows us, we are people of his Akhara. Know Bihar very well, know Uttar Pradesh also and know other states also. Those who have nothing to do with politics are made in-charge.

He further said, ‘There was a slogan that whoever participates, he has that much share. We had been listening for a long time. From the time of Jagdev Babu, from the time of Karpoori ji and Lalu ji was also doing the same, Mulayam Singh was also doing the same, to some extent Nitish ji was also doing the same. Congress also started doing the same work there on an increased scale. What happened? The largest population there is of Muslims, 18 percent. Yadavs have the highest number among Hindus, we too are 14-15 percent. However, after the calculation it was kept under pressure for 4-5 days. Maybe it was coming less but on the insistence of Lalu ji it was increased.

Complaint to Rahul Gandhi also

While giving advice to Shahnawaz from the stage itself, Akhilesh Prasad Singh said, ‘Don’t smile Shahnawaz sir, you will have to accept this truth. As much as one’s share is, so much is his participation. Muslims, who were 17-18 percent, won only 11. Yadav brothers came away with 28 wins. Those Thakurs who were counted as 3.45 percent won 32. Although, I had not applied to be born in my caste but the population of our caste was counted at 2.89 percent but they also won 27. Brahmins were 3.5% and they won 17. Kayastha i.e. Nitin Naveen’s caste also won 3-4.

Raising questions, he said, ‘Those who had 9.99 percent of the population won 80%. That means 40 percent MLAs were elected from upper caste. I had asked a question to Rahul ji that what should the Congress party do now? Now we should protest that how did upper caste people get 40% participation? If there is this kind of politics, this is what will happen. Congress or any political party should not get confused as to where you started from and where you are going. Being a minority party, you are not able to protect the minorities.

Let us tell you that in the 2025 assembly elections, Congress, which contested about 60 seats, was able to win only 6 seats. The alliance led by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) had suffered a crushing defeat and the alliance of Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had once again formed the government by securing an overwhelming majority.
