CM Samrat Chaudhary reached Jamui to pay homage to Digvijay Singh
The 16th death anniversary of former Union Minister and former Banka MP Late Digvijay Singh was celebrated with reverence and respect on Wednesday on the banks of Nagi-Nakti Kathara river located in Nayagaon under Gidhaur block of Jamui district. Many senior ministers of Bihar government, public representatives, supporters and a large number of common people participated in the tribute meeting organized on this occasion.

During the program, leaders and dignitaries paid tribute to late Digvijay Singh by paying floral tributes at his tomb. Recalling his political life, public service and development work, the speakers said that he always gave priority to the development of the region and service to the public. Many public representatives including Bihar Government Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Health Minister Nishant Kumar, Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dilip Jaiswal, Transport Minister Damodar Rawat and Jamui MP Arun Bharti participated in the tribute meeting.
Reiterated resolve to carry forward the ideals and tradition of public service
During this time, late Digvijay Singh’s wife and former MP Putul Kumari and her daughter and Bihar Government Sports and Industry Minister Shreyasi Singh were also present. While greeting the people present, both of them reiterated their resolve to carry forward the ideals and tradition of public service of Digvijay Singh.
The administration had made extensive preparations
Extensive preparations were made by the district administration for the program. Tight security arrangements were made at the venue. People were being checked through metal detectors at the entry gate, while police forces and security personnel were deployed throughout the complex. People started arriving for the tribute meeting since morning. District Magistrate Naveen and Superintendent of Police Vishwajit Dayal and other administrative officers remained busy monitoring the arrangements during the entire program.
During the program, the media asked questions to Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary regarding the Bharat Tiwari case, but he did not give any reaction on this topic. After the program ended he left from Jamui. The tribute meeting took place in a peaceful atmosphere and a large number of people remembered late Digvijay Singh and paid tribute to him.
