MLA Kuldeep presented the achievements of Mann government in front of the public, said- Punjab is now moving on the new path of development.

Amritsar: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal presented the achievements of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government of Punjab before the public. Dhaliwal said that today Punjab is moving forward on a new path of development under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann. Mann government is working on war footing to improve health, education, roads, employment, canal water, industries and agriculture of Punjab. In the current wheat season, canal water is being supplied to every corner of Punjab and every farmer’s field, and every possible effort is being made even where water has not reached yet.

Mention of five main guarantees

Addressing a press conference along with AAP leaders Jarnail Singh Dhot, Sarabjot Singh and Gurpratap Singh Sandhu on Wednesday, Dhaliwal, while mentioning the five main guarantees made to the public during the 2022 elections, said that the Mann government has implemented all these guarantees with full sincerity. He said that the guarantee of free electricity has been continuing for the last four and a half years. In the field of health, not only the guarantee of ‘Mohalla Clinic’ was fulfilled, but also without any promise, a free ‘Health Insurance Card’ worth Rs 10 lakh was given to the people of Punjab.

Regarding the education system, he said that the previous governments had completely destroyed the infrastructure of the schools, improving which the Mann government has provided all the facilities to the children like school walls, classrooms, bathrooms, modern labs, books and fans in four and a half years. Apart from this, for the first time in the history of the country, about 68 thousand educated youth of Punjab have been given government jobs purely on the basis of merit, without any recommendation or bribe.

Dhaliwal further said that another big guarantee for the mothers and sisters of Punjab is going to start from July 1. Under this, ₹ 1000 per month will be given to general category women and ₹ 1500 per month to Scheduled Caste women, preparations for which have been completed on a large scale. Dhaliwal congratulated the women of Punjab in advance for this and expressed thanks to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal.

Taking aim at the opposition parties, he said that Akali Dal, Congress and BJP are nervous today because they know that after July 1, when money will start coming into the accounts of women, then there will be no one to question the opposition parties on the soil of Punjab. Taking aim at the BJP, he said that the BJP is trying its best to disturb the peace and tranquility of Punjab, but the people of Punjab will not let their plans succeed.

At the same time, Dhaliwal expressed strong objection to the demand for resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by Congress leaders Charanjit Singh Channi, Raja Vading, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Vijay Inder Singla, Pargat Singh and Sukhpal Khaira in Chandigarh and reminded the Congress of its dark history.

Dhaliwal said in sharp words that those who are sitting in the press conference today praising the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sikh dignity, are actually the heirs of Indira Gandhi. In the same month of June 1984, the Congress government had demolished our highest religious place Shri Akal Takht Sahib with cannons and tanks. Even today, seeing the pictures of that tragedy brings tears to the eyes of every true Sikh. At that time, instead of condemning this action of Congress, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa’s father had welcomed Operation Blue Star and congratulated Indira Gandhi. Such people have no moral right to speak on Sikh dignity.

Dhaliwal challenged Congress leaders

Dhaliwal challenged the Congress leaders and said that if they have even a little courage and Punjabiyat left, then they should ask Rahul Gandhi to expel Jagdish Tytler, the murderer of Sikhs, from the Congress. Referring to the 1984 Sikh riots in Delhi, he said that the Congress which put tires around the necks of thousands of innocent Sikhs, burnt them alive and robbed the honor of our mothers and sisters, is today preaching to Punjab. He further said that Congress has always betrayed Punjab; Be it snatching Chandigarh from Punjab, snatching Punjabi speaking areas or snatching the canal water of Punjab, the policies of Congress and BJP have been behind all these crimes.

Appealing to the people of Punjab, Dhaliwal said that the Congress leaders who are pretending to be united today do not have any vision or issue for the development of Punjab. They have gathered only out of greed for power and as soon as they come out of the press conference, these leaders will again start pulling each other’s legs. The people of Punjab are no longer going to be misled by them and stand firmly behind the development works of the Hon’ble Government.
