Trisha birthday post for Vijay ends social media speculation
Chennai: Actor Trisha Krishnan has put an end to rumours of a rift with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor C. Joseph Vijay by sharing a heartfelt birthday post that quickly went viral on social media.
The post came hours after speculation spread online that Trisha had unfollowed Vijay on Instagram and had not wished him on his 52nd birthday on Monday.
Birthday post grabs attention
Late on Monday, Trisha shared a photograph from Vijay’s midnight birthday celebrations.
In the picture, Vijay is seen dressed casually in a printed shirt, smiling as he looks at a group of birthday cakes placed before him. Trisha, standing beside him, is seen smiling warmly at the actor-politician.
Accompanying the image, she wrote: “To the person who makes it all worth it, HBD 00.00.”
The caption immediately sparked a frenzy among fans, with many interpreting it as a clear sign that the two continue to share a close friendship.
Rumours of Instagram ‘unfollow’ dismissed
Speculation about a fallout between the two stars had intensified after several entertainment pages claimed that Trisha had unfollowed Vijay on Instagram.
Fans also noted that she had not posted a birthday message for him during the day, adding fuel to the rumours.
However, it was later clarified that the actress had never followed Vijay on Instagram in the first place, rendering the viral “unfollow” claims baseless.
The clarification, coupled with her birthday post, effectively put an end to the speculation.
Frequent public appearances fuel curiosity
Trisha and Vijay have remained at the centre of online discussions in recent months due to their frequent public appearances together.
The actress attended Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in May. The duo were also seen together earlier this year at the family wedding of producer Kalpathi S Aghoram.
Their appearances have often generated considerable buzz among fans and social media users.
A beloved on-screen pairing
Vijay and Trisha are regarded as one of Tamil cinema’s most popular on-screen pairs, having starred together in several successful films over the years.
Their collaborations include the movies Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi, Kuruvi, Leo and The Greatest of All Time.
Their enduring popularity has ensured that even minor interactions between the two frequently become a topic of discussion among fans.
Divorce case adjourned
Meanwhile, Vijay’s personal life has also been making headlines.
The Chief Minister’s divorce case with estranged wife Sangeetha Sornalingam came up for hearing at the Chengalpattu Mahila Court on Monday.
The matter was adjourned to August 7.
The proceedings stem from a petition filed by Sangeetha in February, in which she accused Vijay of having an extramarital affair. The couple had earlier skipped the initial hearing, following which the court directed them to appear.
Social media speculation comes to an end
With her birthday message and photograph from the celebrations, Trisha appears to have firmly dismissed rumours of any fallout with Vijay.
The post has once again highlighted the immense public interest surrounding the duo, whose friendship and on-screen chemistry continue to captivate fans across Tamil Nadu and beyond.
