Shahid Kapoor’s Cocktail 2 crosses Rs 106 crore at global box office

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer “Cocktail 2” has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark at the global box office. Directed by Homi Adajania, the romantic drama has collected Rs 106.61 crore worldwide since its release on June 19

New Delhi: “Cocktail 2”, featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, has collected over Rs 100 crore at the global box office.

The film is directed by Homi Adajania and was released in theatres on June 19.


Production banner Maddock Films shared the film’s box office collection on its Instagram Story on Wednesday with a poster featuring Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika. The film earned Rs 24 crore on its opening day and went on to earn Rs 29.4 crore, Rs 29.4 crore, Rs 32.19 crore, Rs 10 crore and Rs 11.01 crore on the following days. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 106.61 crore at the global box office.

The film is a follow-up to the 2012 hit “Cocktail”, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, but features a fresh story and a new set of characters.

The film revolves around a complex love triangle involving Kunal (Shahid), Diya (Rashmika) and Ally (Kriti).

The story follows Kunal and Diya, a couple whose relationship is tested by the arrival of the free-spirited Ally, leading to emotional turmoil and questions about love, friendship and commitment.

“Cocktail 2” is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan, Pramita R Vijan and Ankur Garg.
