India’s Dabodi spinner Sree Charani becomes world No. 1 T20 International women’s bowler

New Delhi, 24 June 2026: World’s No. 1 T20 International Women’s Bowler India’s young lefty spinner Shri Charani has become world number one in the women’s T20 international bowling rankings. The 21-year-old spinner has overtaken England’s Lynsey Smith to take the top spot.

Shri Charani achieved the number-1 position by performing brilliantly in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. He has taken 10 wickets in three matches so far during the tournament. Charani has recently entered international cricket and has cemented his place in the team.

Shri Charani took four wickets against Netherlands and then took three wickets against South Africa in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Due to this performance, she achieved the top position.

Charlie Dean of England has reached second place. In the Women’s World Cup, Dee has taken five wickets in three matches so far. England’s spinner Sophie Ecclestone has also climbed up the rankings to fourth position.

Update on Batsmenona Rankings

If we look at the ICC Women’s T20 International Batsmen Rankings, Australia’s Georgia Wareham is at the top position, while Beth Mooney is at the second position. India’s Shefali Verma has reached sixth place, and captain Harmanpreet Kaur has entered the top 10.

Talking about all-rounders, West Indies captain Hayley Mathews is in the first place. New Zealand’s Melli Kerr is in second place. Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu is in third place, while Pakistan captain Fatima Sana is in fourth place.
