Petrol Diesel Rates Today : Due to the hope of a peace agreement between America and Iran and the improving situation in the Strait of Hormuz, the prices of crude oil are continuously falling in the international market. Crude oil prices also came down on Thursday, June 25. Due to reduced supply concerns, the price of Brent crude has reached close to the level before the increase in tensions in the Middle East. Brent crude is trading at around $72.4 per barrel, down by more than 1.52 per cent, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) has fallen by 1.43 per cent at around $69.3 per barrel. Earlier in the last trading session also, a huge fall of about 4 percent was seen in crude oil. Meanwhile, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and other oil companies have released new rates of petrol and diesel. There is a slight difference in prices due to taxes and local charges in different cities.

During the increased tension in the Middle East, there was a rise in the prices of crude oil, but the prices of petrol and diesel in India remained stable for a long time. However, after the assembly elections of five states were over, oil companies had increased fuel prices four times in the month of May. The prices of petrol and diesel were increased four times in just 11 days.

Oil companies increased rates several times in May

Let us tell you that the oil companies had first increased the price of petrol by Rs 3 per liter and diesel by Rs 3.29 per liter on May 15, 2026. After this, on May 19, petrol became costlier by about 87 paise and diesel by about 91 paise. Then the prices were increased on May 23 and May 25 also. On May 25, petrol became costlier by Rs 2.61 and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre. Since then, no major change has been made in the prices.

What is the price of petrol in these cities?

Today, on June 25, petrol is being sold at Rs 102.12 per liter in New Delhi. Its price in Mumbai is Rs 111.21 per liter. At the same time, petrol is available at Rs 113.47 per liter in Kolkata and Rs 107.76 per liter in Chennai. The price of petrol in Hyderabad is Rs 115.73 per liter, while in Bengaluru its price is recorded at Rs 110.93 per liter.

What is the price of diesel in these cities?

Whereas, if we talk about diesel, its price in New Delhi is Rs 95.20 per liter. Diesel is being sold at Rs 97.83 per liter in Mumbai. Its price in Kolkata is Rs 99.82 per liter and in Chennai it is Rs 99.55 per liter. In Hyderabad, diesel is available at the price of Rs 103.82 per liter, while in Bengaluru also its price remains at almost the same level.
