Delhi-Patna LPG Rate: What is the price of gas cylinder in your city today? See full list
Saturday morning has brought a good news for the general public and businessmen struggling on the inflation front. There has been no increase in the prices of LPG cylinders across the country today. Cylinder prices for both domestic and commercial categories have remained completely stable. In fact, Indian consumers seem to be getting the direct benefit of the softening of crude oil prices in the international market and reduction in global tensions.
This is not the only matter of relief. The Central Government has taken another big decision regarding LPG supply, which is expected to provide great relief to the country’s industrial sector and small traders. The government has completely removed the restrictions on non-domestic LPG supply and bulk supply. It is believed that after this decision the shortage of commercial gas in the market will completely end.
What are today’s prices from Delhi to Patna?
If you are going to book LPG cylinder in your city today, then you will not have to spend too much. Domestic and commercial cylinder prices are stable today in major cities of the country. While the domestic cylinder remains at Rs 942 in the capital Delhi, consumers will have to pay Rs 1031.50 for it in Patna, the capital of Bihar.
Let’s take a look at today’s prices in big cities of the country:
| City | Domestic Cylinder (14.2 kg) | Commercial Cylinder (19 Kg) |
| New Delhi | ₹942.00 | ₹3113.50 |
| Mumbai | ₹941.50 | ₹3067.50 |
| Kolkata | ₹968.00 | ₹3255.50 |
| Chennai | ₹957.50 | ₹3283.00 |
| Lucknow | ₹979.50 | ₹3236.00 |
| Patna | ₹1031.50 | ₹3400.00 |
Why did the restrictions on supply have to be removed?
In fact, due to the ongoing tension between America, Iran and Israel for some time, the world’s most important oil route ‘Strait of Hormuz’ was badly affected. Due to disruption of supplies through this route, the Government of India had to impose some stringent restrictions on non-domestic bulk supplies as a precautionary measure. Now that the situation is becoming normal there, the government has started ‘de-regulating’ the market again.
Hotel, restaurant, dhaba owners and people associated with small industries are most happy with the lifting of this restriction. The supply chain which was disrupted due to the war will now return to its normal pre-war level.
Commercial cylinder prices had increased by 47 percent
The impact of the ups and downs in the global market was also seen on the Indian kitchen. In the last few months, due to international instability, domestic gas prices were increased twice (first in March and then on June 7). At the same time, the prices of commercial cylinders had increased by more than 47 percent since the war, which broke the backs of traders.
But now the situation is changing. Experts say that lifting the ban on bulk supply is a clear indication that India’s LPG stock is now in a completely safe situation. If crude oil prices remain soft in the international market, then domestic LPG consumers may also get the gift of price reduction in the coming days. At present, the reduction in prices is no less than a big relief for the general public.
