While talking to Vicky Lalwani, Bindu told that this incident happened during the shooting of a film in Rishikesh, when the entire team had gathered for dinner in Dehradun. While coming back, Bindu was sitting in the car and enjoying paan, while Amitabh Bachchan was sitting in the back seat of the car. Recalling the incident, she said, “I still remember that while returning, I ate paan. I was sitting in such a way that the wind was directly on my face and we were all driving with our car windows open. I took my head out of the window to spit the paan and as soon as I spit, the whole paan fell on Amitabh’s shirt. I was very embarrassed and I apologized again and again.”

Describing Amitabh Bachchan’s reaction, he said that he had no objection to this incident and he said no problem, but after that he kept making fun of him for many days. “They used to make fun of me and laugh about it,” he said laughing.
