Alka Yagnik’s health improving
Fans were worried as she was seen in a wheelchair after the Padma Bhushan ceremony, but Alka Yagnik has assured them that she is fine and her health is improving. This famous singer had told through a public post in 2024 that she is suffering from “Rare Sensory Neural Nerve Hearing Loss” (a rare problem of losing the ability to hear). In a post shared on Thursday, June 25, Alka told her fans about the improvement in her health.
In an official statement on Instagram, he wrote that thank you for your love, concern and good wishes. She further said that I have seen people’s concern regarding the video of the ceremony and I want to assure everyone that I am fine and my health is improving positively. I was tired after a long and memorable day at the Padma Awards ceremony, so I had asked for a wheelchair.
He further said that please do not worry. I am feeling much better now and am very grateful for the prayers and support that continue to give me courage. I wholeheartedly thank the Honorable President of India, Honorable Prime Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs and Government of India for this great honour. Let us all celebrate this happy occasion together. With gratitude and love, Alka Yagnik.
Talking about her health concerns after receiving the Padma Bhushan, the singer shared a photo with President Murmu and wrote that for the last two years I have stayed away from limelight and public events and have not shared much about my life’s journey. Many of you knew that I was struggling with health issues, and all this time your love, prayers, messages and unwavering support have been with me every step of the way.
She further said that today, when I walked out to receive one of the country’s highest civilian honors – the prestigious Padma Bhushan, my heart was filled with gratitude. This honor makes me feel very humbled, and even though it has my name on it, it equally belongs to all the listeners who have allowed my voice into their lives, carried my songs across generations, and supported me through good times and difficult times.
