Health Scam: Investigation intensified in the matter of crores of rupees of Health Department, now records will be searched from tender till payment.

The investigation has gained new momentum in a big case related to the Health Department of Delhi (Health Scam). The Enforcement Directorate has intensified the process of collecting documents regarding medical purchases worth crores of rupees. The entire process from tender to payment is being investigated in the matter.

The investigating agency is now trying to find out whether any kind of financial irregularity or money laundering took place during the purchase of medical equipment and health supplies. In this connection, many important records have been summoned from the health department.

Purchase of medical equipment under investigation for Health Scam

In this case involving around Rs 600 crore, the purchase of portable Detailed documents related to tender, supply and payment of all these materials have been sought from the Health Department.

Investigation is being done from the aspect of money laundering

The Delhi Zone 2 team of the Enforcement Directorate has asked to provide records related to the purchases made by the Director General Health Services and the Central Procurement Agency. This information has been sought for the ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Asked for complete records from tender to payment

The investigating agency has summoned all the documents related to the tender process, technical and financial evaluation, contract allocation, supply of goods, quality checking, approval and release of payment (Health Scam). Apart from this, information about transactions related to medical equipment providing companies, manufacturers, OEMs and distributors has also been sought.

Many aspects are being investigated

The ED is investigating whether any financial irregularities, violation of rules or money laundering related matters come to light in the medical procurement process. At present, inquiry and investigation of documents is going on in the entire case.
