Business News: Important news for crores of members of Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). EPFO is going to upgrade its digital system. Due to this technical improvement, many online services will remain temporarily closed from June 26 to June 28, 2026. In such a situation, if you have any work related to PF withdrawal, advance or other claim, then settle it in advance.
Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is upgrading its system. Due to this technical improvement and database upgrade, the services of submitting and processing new claims on the EPFO member portal will be temporarily closed from June 26 (12:00 pm) to June 28, 2026 (11:59 pm). This three-day shutdown is part of the large-scale technical improvement (EPFO 3.0) being carried out by EPFO. The main services affected during this period and things to keep in mind are as follows:-

From 26 to 28 June 2026, new claims like PF withdrawal, advance or transfer will not be submitted through the member portal and UMANG app.
Status of old claims: Claims which have already been submitted will not be cancelled. However, their processing will start only after the completion of this upgrade process.
Helpline Number: If you need help in any emergency related to PF during this time, you can contact the official helpline number 14470.
Normal resumption: All services are expected to resume smoothly from 29 June 2026.
You will not be able to submit a new claim for three days.
According to EPFO, many other services will not be available on the portal from 12 midnight on 26 June 2026 to 11:59 pm on 28 June 2026. During this period, members will not be able to file a new claim nor will they be able to avail the services related to claim processing.
During the upgradation period, members will not be able to file new claims and will not be able to use certain online claim related features. However, the pending cases will be disposed of on priority basis after restoration of services.
Use these options
During the closure of the portal, members can use some alternative means to get information about their account. EPFO has advised to use UMANG app, SMS, WhatsApp and missed call services.
