This sudden decision has ruined the hard work of lakhs of students who were preparing day and night for this examination for months. Strict security arrangements were made at the examination centers across the state, but the news of rigging at the last moment shook the entire system.

Paper leak case came to light from Thane

This whole matter has started from Thane district. Even before the exam, the question paper of Maha TET started going viral on different platforms of social media. As soon as this news reached the top officials of Maharashtra State Examination Council, there was a stir. The department took immediate action and started preliminary investigation. What came to light in this investigation shocked the officers. The questions in the question papers recovered from the suspects were exactly the same as those in the actual exam question paper. After the papers were completely matched, the examination council was left with no other option but to postpone the exam.
