Palestra set for Chelsea medical ahead of 6 year contract
According to reports from Sky, via FCInter1908 Palestra will now travel to England to sign what is expected to be a six-year contract with the Blues.
Chelsea came almost out of nowhere to beat Inter to the signing of the highly rated Italian wing-back, who had a stellar season with Cagliari and was named Serie A defender of the season.
Chelsea beat Inter to Palestra signing
Palestra’s emergence quickly turned the heads of many top clubs, with Inter eyeing the Italian as a gift to Cristian Chivu, after the Romanian coach lifted the Scudetto in his first season in charge of the Nerazzurri.
However, Chelsea offered a lucrative package to the player himself, as well as meeting Atalanta’s demands swiftly.
The Bergamo side have a reputation for long, protracted negotiations – as demonstrated once again with Inter the losing party in their pursuit of Ademola Lookman last summer.
