Nepal: Ruling party MP opposes party’s political proposal
Kathmandu. After the passage of the resolution regarding removal of Pradesh Sabha in the first convention of Nepal’s ruling party Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), elected MP of RSP Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh has said that any kind of interference in democracy, federalism and inclusivity will not be acceptable.
Making his reaction public from Janakpurdham through social media, MP Singh said that if any attempt is made to tamper with Nepal’s democratic system, federal governance system and inclusive character, the Nepalese people will strongly oppose it.
He said, “I am saying again today from Janakpurdham, the land of mother of the world Sitamata – if anyone tampers with the democracy, federalism and inclusivity of Nepal, the Nepalese people will strongly resist him.”
MP Singh said that the main expectation of Nepali people is good governance and prosperity. He appealed to political parties and public representatives to focus on these issues. “The public wants good governance and prosperity. We will be with the public at every step,” he said.
After RSP passed the policy of dismissing the Pradesh Sabha in its first general convention, the debate on this issue has intensified in political circles. The party had approved the policy document related to abolition of the State Assembly in its general convention. MP Amresh Kumar Singh, who has been continuously taking a critical stance on the activities of RSP and the government, did not even attend the first convention of the party.
