On this occasion, he also shared an interesting experience of his grandson Ivara. According to her, once at the airport, Evara’s nanny showed her Modiji’s photo and said only “Modiji”. After that, this incident became a part of her daily life.

Sunil Shetty said that every morning Ivara now opens a page with a large photo of Modi in one of Saibaba’s books. She points to the photo and says “Modiji, Modiji”. After that, she picks up the imaginary ladle kept near Ganapati Bappa in the house and offers it to Modi’s photo. He said that the entire family is overwhelmed by her innocent act.

At this time, he explained that no one in the house had any influence on Ivara to do this. “None of us, me, Athiya, KL Rahul or her nanny taught her this. Nani only showed her a picture and said ‘Modiji’ once. Then she started doing it on her own. So I think there is something special about her personality,” he said.

Sunil Shetty also recalled his first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Around 2010, he met Modi when he went to work in Ahmedabad. He visited at the appointed time and communicated with great intimacy. At the end of the meeting, he shared some valuable thoughts about life, which left us overwhelmed, said Sunil.
