Welcome to the Jungle: Review of a fun movie
Unique perspective of the film
Most of the movies nowadays try to attract the audience either through big action sequences, serious plots or social messages. But ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ moves in a different direction. The film neither burdens itself with logic nor takes itself too seriously. Its main objective is to make the audience laugh and entertain for two to two and a half hours. The madness, confusion and fun characters that have become the hallmark of the Welcome series have been presented on an even bigger scale this time. The question is whether director Ahmed Khan has been able to present this uproar beautifully on screen? Let us know the review of this stirring film.
New uproar at every turn in the story
The story of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ revolves around a film unit with which nothing is normal. A wealthy man decides to make a film as part of his special plan, but everything falls apart as soon as shooting begins. Under compulsion, the entire team reaches the village, where such a confusion arises between the real people and the film world that some new controversy arises in every scene. This constant movement keeps the film fun.
Every artist got a chance to shine
Despite having such a big star cast, the film does not focus on any one face. Akshay Kumar commands the film from beginning to end with his excellent comic timing. Sunil Shetty’s character ‘Yeda Anna’ brings laughter every time. Arshad Warsi and Lara Dutta also look good in their roles. At the same time, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever and Rajpal Yadav present many funny moments from their experience. But the pair of Farida Jalal and Kiran Kumar steals the show at many places.
New fun with old memories
The best thing about the film is that it takes both the old audience and the new generation along. Seeing Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon together again is nostalgic, but the film doesn’t rely on that alone. New characters, new jokes and different types of comic situations also give it a fresh feel.
Good grasp of direction
It is not easy to accommodate every actor in a film with such a huge cast, but Ahmed Khan has tried to handle it well. The film does not seem too complicated anywhere and the story continues to move forward. The comedy keeps flowing and whenever the pace slows down a bit, a new funny scene picks up the pace again.
Entertainment is the biggest purpose
This film does not come with any deep message or serious story. Its entire focus is only on making the audience laugh and entertain. Light comedy, fun characters and constant confusion keep the film interesting from beginning to end. This is the reason why its fun increases even more on the big screen.
Big starcast, big entertainment
The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandes, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Artists like Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Firoz Khan (Arjun), late Pankaj Dheer, Punit Issar, Sudesh Berry, Jeetu Verma, Vrihi Kodwara, Aditya Singh and Bhagya Bhanushali are seen. So many actors together make the film more grand.
With strong production
The film was directed by A.A. Presented by Nadiadwala, Cape of Good Films and Star Studios in association with Sita Films. Made under the banner of Base Industries Group, the producers of this film are Rakesh Dang, Vedant Vikas Bali and Firoz A. Nadiadwala. The production value is clearly visible in this film made on a large scale.
Why is it a must watch?
If you want to watch a film that will make you laugh, feel light and entertain without any heavy story for two to two and a half hours, then ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ can be a great option for you.
