HDFC Mutual Fund bought 10 lakh shares of Global Health, will the confidence of retail investors increase in Medanta stock?

This deal is believed to be worth around Rs 122 to 130 crore. These shares were sold by the company’s co-founder Sunil Sachdeva through a block deal. After this purchase, HDFC Mutual Fund’s stake in the company increased further. At the end of trading, shares of Global Health closed at Rs 1,315.

Bought 0.37% stake in block deal

According to block deal data available on BSE, HDFC Mutual Fund has bought 10 lakh shares equivalent to 0.37 percent stake of the company. After this deal, investors are now keeping an eye on whether other institutional and retail investors will also show interest in this stock.

Why is HDFC Mutual Fund increasing investment in Medanta?

Global Health operates the country’s leading hospital chain Medanta. The company has recently presented strong quarterly results. In the March 2026 quarter, the company’s net profit increased by almost 40 percent to Rs 141.7 crore, while revenue increased from Rs 931 crore to Rs 1,159 crore. Considering the strong financial performance and future prospects, HDFC Mutual Fund has increased its stake in the company.
