Admission starts for 450 seats in B.P.Ed colleges of Eastern University, apply till June 30

Jaunpur. The admission process for the academic session 2026-27 has started in B.P.Ed colleges affiliated to Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (U.V.I.) located in Jaunpur, UP.

The university has invited applications for interested candidates till June 30, after which the admission process will start. If necessary, efficiency test of the candidates will also be conducted.

On taking information in this regard on Sunday, University’s Controller of Examinations Vinod Singh said that a total of eight affiliated B.P.Ed colleges are running in Jaunpur and Ghazipur districts, in which admission will be done on a total of 450 seats.

Of these, B.P.Ed course is run only in Shri Hari Mahavidyalaya, Lahangpur (Jalalpur) in Jaunpur district, while the remaining seven colleges are located in Ghazipur district.

Due to lack of new appointments on the posts of B.P.Ed teachers for more than a decade, the attraction of students towards this course has continuously decreased. This is also affecting the admission process and every year a large number of seats remain vacant.

However, due to appointments of B.P.Ed teachers in other states, the candidates there are coming to take admission in the colleges affiliated to Purvanchal University. Despite this, due to less applications, college operators are worried about seats remaining vacant this time too.
