Ind A vs SL A: The first unofficial test between India A and Sri Lanka A was drawn due to rain. Devdutt Padikkal played a brilliant inning of 67 runs in the second innings, while India-A set a target of 312 runs. Sri Lanka A, chasing the target, scored 70/2 in 15 overs, but the game could not be completed due to rain.

India A vs SL A: The first unofficial Test played between India A and Sri Lanka A ended in a draw. On the fourth and last day of the match, rain caused a long interruption in the play, due to which neither team got a chance to reach the result. However, Indian batsman Devdutt Padikkal put the team in a strong position by scoring a brilliant half-century in the second innings.
India A progressed its second innings by 48 runs without any loss on the fourth day. Opener Devdutt Padikkal batted with restraint and scored 67 runs in 101 balls. His innings included five fours. Apart from them, Ayush Pandey played useful innings of 38 runs and Harsh Dubey played useful innings of 29 runs.
The Indian team declared its second innings after scoring 189 runs for 8 wickets in 57 overs. With this, a target of 312 runs was set for Sri Lanka A to win. For Sri Lanka A, left arm spinner Dilum Sudira bowled brilliantly and took five wickets for 49 runs. His bowling did not give the Indian batsmen a chance to score runs freely.
Sri Lanka A team, which came to chase the target of 312 runs, had scored 70 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in 15 overs. After this it started raining and play could not be played for a long time. Ultimately the umpires declared the match a draw. For Sri Lanka A, Nuwanidu Fernando returned unbeaten on 16 runs, while Ashen Bandara also scored 18 not out. Pavantha Weerasinghe contributed 10 runs.
Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Auqib Nabi took one wicket for India A. He also performed brilliantly in the first innings, taking four wickets for 58 runs. Harsh Dubey also achieved a success in the second innings.
Now the second and final unofficial Test of the series between the two teams will be played on this ground from July 2 to 5, where both the teams will try to finish the series with a win.
