Patna. Bihar government has started a new initiative regarding the industrial sector of the state. Now preparations are being made to make the inspection process of factories more transparent and easier. After the implementation of the new system, factory operators are expected to get relief from sudden inspections and unnecessary hassles.
Now there will be no investigation suddenly
In the new system, factory inspection will be done on the basis of pre-determined procedure. Which officer will get the responsibility of which factory, it will be decided through the online system. The information about the officer and the date of inspection will be provided to the factory operator in advance. This is expected to increase transparency in the investigation process.
Information will be received 15 days in advance
Under the new system, online information will be sent to the factory about 15 days before the inspection. After this the officers will complete the investigation and also file the inspection report on the digital portal. Officials have to adhere to the prescribed time limit for submitting the report.
Checking of staff facilities
Now, during the inspection, not only the arrangements of the factory but also the matters related to the employees will be monitored. The investigation will see whether the employees are getting their salaries on time or not, whether the PF amount is being deposited or not, whether the safety rules are being followed in the factory or not. If any deficiency is found, instructions will be given to rectify it through online medium.
Online complaint facility will be available
In the new system, workers will also get a chance to register their problems. Employees will be able to complain online, so that the department can take direct action. This is expected to strengthen the protection of workers’ rights.
