‘Hera Pheri 3 will never hit the screen’: Priyadarshan reacts amid ongoing dispute
The future of Hera Pheri 3 appears to be growing increasingly uncertain as fresh developments have emerged surrounding the much-awaited comedy sequel. Reports recently suggested that producer Firoz Nadiadwala had stated that filmmaker Priyadarshan would not be directing the Akshay Kumar-starrer. However, Priyadarshan has now responded with a statement that has added even more uncertainty to the project’s future.
Reacting to the ongoing speculation, Priyadarshan said, “To the best of my knowledge, Hera Pheri 3 will never hit the screen due to lots of legal issues and personal conflicts. Whether I am involved or not is unimportant.”
His comments indicate that the hurdles surrounding the film go beyond the question of who will direct it. Instead, the veteran filmmaker pointed to unresolved legal matters and personal disagreements as the primary reasons why the sequel may struggle to move forward.
Hera Pheri 3 has remained one of Bollywood’s most talked-about projects, with fans eagerly awaiting the return of the iconic trio—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. However, the film has repeatedly made headlines over casting changes, production delays and legal disputes, keeping its status uncertain.
Priyadarshan’s latest remarks have only intensified concerns among fans who have been hoping for an official update on the beloved franchise. While speculation continues over the film’s future, there has been no formal announcement from the makers addressing the director’s latest statement or clarifying the project’s current status.
For now, Hera Pheri 3 remains caught in uncertainty, with ongoing legal complications and reported personal conflicts casting a shadow over one of Bollywood’s most anticipated sequels.
