Ranveer Singh heads to Australia for ‘Pralay’ shoot

After reports of Ranveer Singh joining filmmaker Jai Mehta for a zombie thriller titled Pralayit has now received a fresh update.

The film promises a grand-scale survival story in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Now, another major update has emerged surrounding the highly anticipated project.

Riding on the momentum of Dhurandhar’s success, the 40-year-old Indian actor y is gearing up to begin production in September 2026, with a major portion of the shoot planned across Australia, as per pinkvilla.

Those close to the project have come forward saying that Ranveer is already in preparation mode, exploring the film’s universe and actively contributing to its world-building.

“Ranveer will start shooting for the Jai Mehta directorial in the second half of 2026. The shoot is planned in Australia, and he has already kick-started prep. This is a film that requires intense physical and emotional preparation, given the scale and genre,” a source shared with the outlet.

According to the source, Ranveer has been collaborating closely with Jai Mehta and the writing team, with daily conversations focused on developing and refining the film.

“Pralay will rely heavily on VFX. Jai and his team are actively working on the screenplay, visual detailing, and the larger zombie universe. Ranveer too has been involved in creative discussions on a day-to-day basis,” the source further explained.
