Advanced printed circuit boards will be made in the country: Ashwini Vaishnav Gujarati
New Delhi, 29 June 2026: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishna has said that the upcoming Amber and Ascent Electronics production facilities will open a new chapter in India’s electronics sector. He said that advanced printed circuit boards (PCB) will strengthen the country’s electronics ecosystem and increase India’s global competitiveness.
“A new chapter in India’s electronics manufacturing. Amber and Ascent Electronics manufacturing plants will produce advanced printed circuit boards, strengthening India’s electronics ecosystem and global competitiveness,” Union Minister Ashwini Vaishna said in a post on social media platform X on June 27.
He further said, “Each PCB produced here will save foreign exchange, strengthen the rupee and improve India’s balance of payments.” The Union Minister said this after laying the foundation stone of the projects in Yamuna city of Jewar along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. These projects include a joint venture with South Korea’s KCC, Ascent-K Circuits worth Rs. 3,250 crore state-of-the-art printed circuit board manufacturing facility, which will produce high-density and multi-layer PCBs for the electronics industry.
Amber Enterprise will set aside Rs. 100 crore to build a production facility for HVAC components and PCB assembly. Will invest Rs 3,500 crore. Vaishnave had earlier said that India currently earns approximately Rs. The country imports PCBs worth Rs 40,000 crore and the increase in local production capacity will significantly reduce the country’s import dependence.
He also highlighted the rapidly growing infrastructure ecosystem in the Jewar region and said that the operational Noida International Airport, better connectivity through the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the proposed Delhi-Lucknow-Varanasi Bullet Train Project are making the region an attractive destination for global investors.
The Union Minister said that the emerging industrial ecosystem supported by modern infrastructure and production investments will help make India a major electronics manufacturing hub, while also boosting local manufacturing capabilities and creating employment.
