Ram temple offering theft case: Accused produced before VC, court extends remand

Ram Mandir Donation Theft: All the accused arrested on Monday in the case of theft of offering money in Shri Ram temple located in Ayodhya were presented in the court through video conferencing. After the hearing, the court extended the judicial remand of all the accused till July 13. Now the SIT investigating the case will continue further action.

SIT will investigate other aspects of the case

After the court order, SIT has got time to carry forward the investigation. If necessary, the investigating agency can also interrogate other people related to the case. At present, the investigation of the case is going on and the allegations will be confirmed as per the judicial process. A final trial on the charges has yet to take place in court.

The case of offering theft came to light on June 6.

It is noteworthy that on June 6, a case of irregularities and theft in the money offered to Shri Ram Temple came to light. After this, on the recommendation of the Temple Trust, the Uttar Pradesh government formed a SIT to investigate the matter. After completing the investigation, the SIT submitted its report to the government.

After receiving the report, an FIR was registered on the complaint of temple trust member Krishna Mohan on the evening of June 25. In this, the employees involved in the counting process, Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramashankar Mishra, supervisory staff Subhash Srivastava and General Secretary Champat Rai’s driver Ramshankar alias Tinnu were made accused.

Role of employees came to light in SIT report

The investigation report of the SIT revealed that some employees deployed in the process of calculating the offering amount stole the gift and donation amount. In the investigation, the role of Subhash Srivastava, who was performing supervisory responsibilities, and bank supervisory employee Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinnu were also found prima facie suspicious.

On the basis of these facts, the police arrested all the eight accused. Now the detailed investigation and judicial process of the case is moving forward.
