Uttarakhand News: Champawat gets state-of-the-art MRI machine, new strength to health services





Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gifted several important projects towards strengthening health services during a program organized in Champawat on Monday. He inaugurated the state-of-the-art MRI machine installed at a cost of approximately Rs 6 crore in collaboration with ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Patients from marginal areas will get big benefits

The Chief Minister said that with the installation of MRI machine, not only Champawat, but lakhs of people of Pithoragarh, Almora, Nainital and surrounding border areas will get the benefit of modern health facilities. Now serious patients will not have to go to Haldwani or other big cities for MRI examination, which will reduce time, money and mental trouble.

Investment of over Rs 40 crore on health infrastructure

The Chief Minister said that to strengthen health services in Champawat, work is being done on various projects worth more than Rs 40 crore. Construction of a modern critical care block with 50 beds at a cost of approximately Rs 20 crore is going on in the district hospital. Apart from this, modern diagnostic wing, operation theater and parking facility is being developed at a cost of Rs 11.71 crore.

Focus also on nursing education and paramedical college

He said that special attention is also being given to preparing trained human resources for health services in the state. The construction of a 129-bed hostel in the Integrated Nursing Institute has been completed, while the process of establishing a new paramedical college in Champawat is also progressing rapidly.

Free treatment available through Ayushman schemes

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the state government is to ensure that financial constraints do not become a hindrance in the treatment of any family. Through Ayushman Bharat and Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana, cashless and free treatment facilities are being provided to lakhs of families of the state.

Only healthy Uttarakhand will make developed Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that healthy citizens are the strongest foundation of capable, self-reliant and developed Uttarakhand. He called upon people to take advantage of modern health facilities and participate in building a healthy society.
