Clouds of trouble looming over Hera Pheri 3 film
Hera Pheri 3: Two parts of the comedy world’s superhit film Hera Pheri have been made so far and both have been superhit. Now the audience is also very excited for the third part of this film i.e. Hera Pheri 3. But do you know that Priyadarshan is not the director of Hera Pheri 3. Recently Priyadarshan has also revealed this. This statement of Priyadarshan came to light when producer Firoz Nadiadwala said that the original director is not a part of this project.
Clouds of trouble on the film
Priyadarshan further said, ‘As per my knowledge, ‘Hera Pheri 3’ will never be released due to a lot of legal issues and internal disputes. It doesn’t matter whether I am involved in this or not. Firoz had already said in an interview to ‘Variety India’ that Priyadarshan is not a part of this third film. The shooting of this film, which was supposed to begin this year, has been delayed due to legal complications related to film and music rights. A few months ago, Priyadarshan had confirmed that the shooting of this much talked about film will not begin at all this year. Speaking to ETimes, Priyadarshan admitted that the situation is difficult. He said, ‘Some people say that they have the rights of the film, while others are claiming the rights of the music.’
Is there an uproar over music rights?
Priyadarshan told that Bhushan Kumar has publicly declared his ownership rights over the music rights of ‘Hera Pheri 3’, and it is necessary to resolve these issues before going ahead with the film. When he was asked whether the production of the film would start this year, the filmmaker said, ‘Absolutely not this year.’ According to ‘Bar & Bench’, production house ‘Seven Arts International’ claimed that producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s rights were limited only to making the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’, which was later made into the film ‘Hera Pheri’ in 2000. The production house alleges that Nadiadwala violated the contract by making ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and transferring the rights of the franchise to Akshay Kumar’s company ‘Cape of Good Films’. Last year there was a lot of uproar when Paresh Rawal left the film. Akshay Kumar had filed a case against him demanding damages of Rs 25 crore. Later this matter was resolved and Akshay withdrew the case.
