Founded by Enterprise Asia in 2011, the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards is one of the region’s leading ESG recognition programs, honoring companies that demonstrate excellence in environmental, social and governance practices.

The Social Empowerment category recognizes projects that help vulnerable groups improve their quality of life and participate more fully in society.

This year’s awards, themed “Leveraging Technology for a Regenerative and Inclusive Tomorrow,” recognized businesses that combine innovation with sustainable development to create long-term value for society.

According to the organizers, the company was recognized for its sustained investment in community development, particularly in education, healthcare and housing.

Between 2021 and 2025, it contributed approximately VND17.76 billion (US$680,000) to community programs. Working with local authorities, the company builds around 15 charity houses each year for disadvantaged families in Dong Nai Province that borders Ho Chi Minh City.

In education, it partners with the Dong Nai Study Promotion Association, contributing VND150 million annually to support students with disabilities.

Healthcare has also remained a long-term focus. Since 2012, the company has organized free medical check-ups and distributed medicine to more than 16,000 people. It also conducts blood donation campaigns and provides emergency assistance following natural disasters.

Ni Chih-Hao, General Director of the company, said sustainable business growth should go hand in hand with community development.

“Over the past 35 years in Vietnam, we have sought to contribute not only through our business activities but also by supporting local communities, protecting the environment, and improving people’s quality of life. Guided by our belief of developing with society and giving back to society, we remain committed to creating long-term value alongside the communities where we operate,” he said.
