Eating traditional food during monsoon season boosts health and keeps both body and mind healthy. During the rainy season, due to increase in humidity in the air, our digestion slows down, due to which problems like flatulence, gas and constipation increase. In such a situation, instead of eating outside junk food or street food, include these home-made superfoods in your diet.

Golden Milk
Before sleeping at night, drink milk mixed with turmeric and a pinch of black pepper, it is full of anti-inflammatory properties.

Moong Dal Khichdi
It is the lightest to digest. Eating it mixed with a little ghee and asafoetida gives instant relief to the stomach.

Hot Soup and Rasam
Drink hot soup of tomato, bottle gourd or pumpkin. Adding black pepper and ginger to it intensifies the digestive fire.
