Domestic stock market declined for the second consecutive day, Sensex fell by 250 points, Nifty weakened by 80 points.
Mumbai, 30 june. The domestic stock market declined for the second consecutive trading session on Tuesday amid selling in shares of Information Technology (IT), Petroleum and Gas and select banking sectors. While BSE Sensex closed 250 points below 76,500, NSE Nifty also fell below 23,900 with a weakness of 80 points. Investor sentiment was also affected by uncertainty over the next round of talks between the US and Iran in Doha.

Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)’s 30-share sensitive index Sensex lost its initial gains of the day and closed at 76,478.67 points, falling 249.70 points or 0.33 percent. At one time during trading, it had fallen by 398.98 points or 0.51 percent to 76,329.39 points. Among Sensex related companies, shares of 11 remained in the green while 19 registered a decline.

At the same time, Nifty, the standard index based on 50 shares of National Stock Exchange (NSE), closed at 23,865.75 points with a decline of 80.50 points or 0.34 percent. Among Nifty related companies, shares of 22 remained strong while shares of 28 remained weak.
Buying was seen in smallcap and midcap stocks compared to the benchmark index. Nifty Smallcap 100 recorded a rise of 1.02 percent and Nifty Midcap a rally of 0.37 percent.
Infosys stocks fell the most by 3.49 percent
Among the companies included in the Sensex group, Infosys’s stock fell the most by 3.49 percent. TCS, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra and ITC also declined significantly. On the contrary, major gains were registered in Maruti Suzuki, Titan Company, Bajaj Finance, Eternal and Adani Ports.
FII has 1,350.1 Sold shares worth crores of rupees
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers on Monday and sold shares worth Rs 1,350.1 crore. At the same time, the price of international standard Brent crude remained around $ 73.32 per barrel with an increase of 0.23 percent.
