In today’s technological era, smartphones are in everyone’s hands. People use their phones all day long, which makes even small children want to look at them. Even children who cannot walk yet are attracted towards smartphones. The habit of watching screens among children is becoming a serious problem. Parents are often worried about how to keep their children away from mobile addiction. Children can become irritable and stubborn when the phone is snatched away.

You give children choices lovingly and wisely. You can reduce their screen time by changing their daily routine and doing some creative activities with them.
Creating a mobile-free zone

Creating an environment of discipline for children is the first step. You can make certain places or times in your home a mobile-free zone. For example, completely refuse using phones at the dining table while eating with the family. Similarly, keep the bedroom mobile-free and do not take phones into the children’s room at night.
For children aged three to five years, limit screen time to a maximum of half an hour a day. If you give them a phone, use parental control apps so kids can only view safe and informative content.
Change in phone settings
Turn on ‘Greyscale’ setting in the phone
Children are not addicted to phones or reels, rather they are attracted to its bright colors. Go to your phone’s Settings and turn on Greyscale in Color Filters under Accessibility. This will make the screen completely black and white.
Seeing the colorless screen, the child will consider the phone boring within a few minutes.
