Samsung M47 5G arrives in India
Samsung has launched the Galaxy M47 5G in India, bringing a new mid-range phone with a 6,000mAh batterya Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and a 50MP OIS triple rear camera setup. The phone is priced at Rs 22,999 in India, including a coupon offer, and will go on sale via Amazon from 4 July.
The device is available in Rogue Red and Blaze Blue colour options. Samsung is targeting buyers who want a balanced mix of battery life, display quality and long-term software support in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment.
Display and performance
The Galaxy M47 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung says the panel offers up to 800 nits HBM brightness and 1,400 nits peak brightnesswhile Gorilla Glass Diet+ is used for added protection.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with the Adreno 710 GPU. It comes in 6GB and 8GB LPDDR5X RAM variants, along with 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage options. Storage can also be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
Camera and battery
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M47 5G with a 50MP primary camera with OISan 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the phone includes a 12MP selfie camera. The camera setup is positioned to handle everyday photography and video calls with a strong emphasis on stability and detail.
The battery is one of the main highlights of the device. The 6,000mAh unit supports 45W fast charginggiving the phone a strong endurance profile for long daily use. Samsung is also including bypass charging features aimed at gaming users who want to reduce battery strain during extended play sessions.
Software and availability
The Galaxy M47 5G runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5. Samsung has promised six years of OS updates and six years of security patcheswhich gives the phone one of the more ambitious support policies in its segment.
The phone will be sold exclusively through Amazon at launch. With a large battery, a high-refresh AMOLED screen and long software support, the Galaxy M47 5G looks aimed at users who want a dependable everyday 5G phone with premium-leaning features.
