Its ‘Town Mode’ provides smooth acceleration for regular urban commuting, while ‘Sport Mode’ sharpens throttle response for faster commutes. In addition, the ‘downshift function’ provided by this allows the driver to get instant more pick-up without having to manually change gears while overtaking or traveling uphill.
Engine and Performance
Coming to the engine and performance, the scooter features Yamaha’s familiar 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Blue Core engine, equipped with variable valve actuation technology. This Euro5+ compliant engine generates a maximum power of 15 PS at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 14 Nm at 6,500 rpm, mated to an automatic CVT transmission.
