Accused of getting CTET exam done through fake candidate arrested after one and a half year.

Georgetown police station on Tuesday arrested an accused who was wanted for a long time in the CTET-2024 examination for getting fake candidates to sit in the examination. On the information of an informer, the accused was caught from near Vidyavahini bus stand and presented in the court, from where advance legal action was taken against him.
According to the police, the arrested accused has been identified as Bhanupratap son of Ayodhya Prasad alias Chunnilal alias Churfunni (35 years), resident of village Bhaidpur, police station Dhata, district Fatehpur. A case was registered against him in case number 292/2024 registered in the year 2024 at Georgetown Police Station under various sections of the Indian Justice Code and Section 7/13(3) of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 1998.
According to the police, during the CTET-2024 examination held on December 15, 2024, the accused had tried to get the examination done in his place by fraudulently appointing another person as a candidate. Rati Asthana, center administrator of the examination center Jagat Taran Inter College, took cognizance of the matter and lodged a complaint at the Georgetown police station. After investigation, the police registered a case under relevant sections and started searching for the accused.
The accused, who was absconding for about one and a half years, was arrested on Tuesday by Georgetown police station near Vidyavahini bus stand on the accurate information of the informer.
