India-Japan Deals: India and Japan will jointly develop defense technology for the first time, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi happy with PM Modi calling her his younger sister
New Delhi. PM Narendra Modi and Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi participated in the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit in Delhi on Thursday. After talks in this meeting, PM Narendra Modi and PM of Japan gave information to the media. PM Modi said that in the last one year, India and Japan have signed 120 new trade agreements. Both countries aim to attract investments worth 10 trillion yen in India in the next 10 years. Which will give impetus to infrastructure, modern technology and industrial development in India.

PM Modi addressed Japanese PM Takaichi as his younger sister. On which Takaichi expressed great happiness. He also called PM Modi as elder brother. Defense cooperation has taken place for the first time between India and Japan. Both countries will jointly develop defense technologies. This will strengthen regional peace, maritime security and international order. Defense cooperation between India and Japan can have important results in the Indo-Pacific region. India and Japan also announced the creation of a joint roadmap on economic and energy security. Under this, cooperation will be increased in semiconductor, critical minerals, quantum technology etc. Both agreed to create a strong supply chain. So that the industries of India and Japan are not affected in any crisis.

Japan’s PM Takaichi said that under the Govardhan initiative, India and Japan will set up a project to produce biogas. Under this, modern biogas plants will be built in India. Due to which clean energy will be promoted and the economy of villages will be strengthened. An additional source of income will also be created for the farmers. India and Japan decided in the meeting that both the countries are in favor of a free, open and rules-based Indo-Pacific region. The Prime Ministers of India and Japan reiterated their commitment regarding maritime security, regional stability and respect for international law. India and Japan have also agreed to increase partnership in defense exercises, maritime cooperation and modern technology.
