FIFA World Cup 2026: Cristiano Ronaldo achieves another historic feat
New Delhi. Portugal’s legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo achieved another historic feat in the FIFA World Cup 2026. As soon as he entered the field in the Round of 32 match against Croatia, Ronaldo became the oldest outfield player to start in a World Cup knockout match.
At the age of 41 years, 4 months and 27 days, Ronaldo broke the record of Edin Dzeko of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dzeko played in the last-32 match against America at the age of 40 years, 106 days.
Ronaldo is one of only three players in world football history to have played in six FIFA World Cups. In his illustrious career, he has also led Portugal to one European Championship and two UEFA Nations League titles.
41-year-old Ronaldo is continuously making records and leaving his indelible mark in world football. Now his eyes will be on leading Portugal to the World Cup 2026 and winning the biggest title of his career.
