Stock Market Today: Stock market buzzing for the third consecutive day, Sensex rises by more than 650 points

Mumbai. Domestic stock markets witnessed a bullish rise in early trade on Friday with BSE Sensex rising by more than 650 points. Sensex opened at 78,152.34 points with a gain of 650.22 points. It was up 440.86 points (0.57 percent) at 77,942.98. More buying is being seen in IT, metals, pharma, realty and health groups.

Whereas the indices of public banks and auto companies are in the red. The Nifty-50 index of the National Stock Exchange also opened with a rise of 199.95 points at 24,375.65 points. It stood at 24,320.98 points with a gain of 146.05 points or 0.60 percent. HCL Technologies’ share is up more than four percent among Sensex companies.

There is a rise of more than three percent in Tata Steel and more than two percent in Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv. Shares of BEL, Sun Pharma, Eternal, UltraTech Cement, TCS, Trent and Airtel are also in gain. Mahindra & Mahindra, State Bank of India and Kotak Mahindra Bank are currently trending down.

In Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei-225, China’s SSE Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were trading with gains. There was a mixed trend in American stock markets on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.14 percent while the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.80 percent. The S&P 500 closed flat.

The price of international standard Brent crude fell by 0.63 percent to around $ 72.25 per barrel. According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers on Thursday and sold shares worth Rs 311.82 crore. On Thursday, Sensex closed with a gain of 579.48 points and Nifty with a gain of 169.85 points.
