Shameful incident of road rage in Nagpur: Policeman dragged from car and beaten brutally in the middle of the road, 14 accused arrested
A very shocking incident of road rage has come to light in Nagpur, Maharashtra, where some youth stopped a policeman’s car, pulled him out and beat him brutally in the middle of the road. The attackers dragged the policeman to the other side of the road, attacked him with kicks and punches and also vandalized his car. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed nearby.
Dispute occurred after minor collision
According to the information, this incident took place on the night of June 28. The 35-year-old policeman was going towards Mankapur Chowk in his personal car with a female friend. Meanwhile, 7 to 8 youths riding bikes allegedly stopped his car.
It is being told that the dispute started after a slight collision of vehicles. The accused parked their motorcycles in front of the car, abused the policeman and then took him out of the car and started beating him.
Brutally assaulted in the middle of the road
It can be seen in the CCTV footage that the accused are dragging the policeman on the road and beating him continuously. During the attack, a youth also kicked the injured policeman in the face. After this the accused vandalized his car and fled from the spot.
After the incident, the local people took the seriously injured policeman to a private hospital, where his treatment is going on.
The accused were identified from CCTV footage
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police started investigation. On the basis of CCTV footage and technical evidence, the police identified 14 accused and took them into custody.
The arrested accused include Harsh Pawar, Gaurav Dhirde, Sanyam Ganeshpuri, Yash Prateki, Satyam Shirke, Premraj Dhakate, Akash Bokade, Nitin Gokhale, Vicky Telghare, Bhumi Dev alias Sagar Bokade, Ganesh Uike, Pritam Modekar and Tikaram Barapatre.
Criminal records of many accused
According to the police, criminal cases are already registered against some of the arrested accused. During the operation, police also seized five two-wheelers. Total value of seized goods is approx. Rs 5.60 lakh It has been told.

Police are investigating the matter in detail. Officials say that action is being taken against the accused under sections like attempt to murder, attack on a government employee, damaging public property and other serious sections. After the video of the incident surfaced, there is an atmosphere of anger in the entire city regarding this incident.
