Sharjah Traffic Update: Route changed for the work of Etihad Rail Station, diversion will be applicable from 4th July to 23rd August
There is an important news for the residents of Sharjah and those traveling from there. Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced traffic diversion in the city. This decision has been taken to complete the work of the access road being built near the future Etihad Rail Station.
According to SRTA, this traffic diversion has started from Saturday, July 4, 2026 and will continue till Sunday, August 23, 2026. This change has been made on the roads between University City and Ard Al Maahid, so that the work of the Etihad Rail Station Access Road project can be completed without any interruption.

Officials have appealed to road users to plan their journey in advance to avoid any kind of delay. Some important things have been mentioned for the road users:
