Gujarat ATS arrests 8 Jaish suspects, ISI network also busted in Delhi

New Delhi: Taking a major action against terrorism, Gujarat ATS has arrested 8 suspected terrorists of banned organization Jaish-e-Mohammed from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. All these accused were planning to spread terrorist activities by creating an active network of Jaish in Gujarat.

Case registered under UAPA and BNS   

Gujarat ATS said that a case has been registered against all the 8 accused under sections 13, 17, 18, 38, 39 of UAPA and sections 148 and 61 of the Indian Justice Code. ATS team conducted raids in different districts and caught them.

Names of arrested accused   

The arrested suspects have been identified as Ahmed s/o Abdullah Ghaziwala, Ibrahim Ghagha s/o Mohammad Hussain Ghagha, Mudassir s/o Abdullah Ghaziwala, Zakaria Durrani s/o Mohammad Ammar Ghagha, Mufti Fauzan s/o Ismail Dauwa, Mohammad Amin Shera, Mohammad Abdul s/o Rehman Savadi and Bilal Mohammad s/o Ammar Ghagha.

4 ISI supported terrorists arrested in Delhi   

A day before this, the Special Cell of Delhi Police exposed the terrorist and weapons network linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Police arrested three accused from Punjab and one from Delhi.

According to officials, these accused were assigned the task of recce of religious places and police establishments in Delhi. These Pakistani agents were planning to carry out a major terrorist incident in Delhi-NCR at the behest of Shehzad Bhatti and his associates.

There was a conspiracy to attack in Delhi   

The names of the arrested accused are Shubhdeep Singh alias Vishal 23, Gurjant Singh alias Rishi 22, Sajan Singh alias Honey 28 and Gaganpreet 24. Police said that all four were working for ISI.

used to talk to foreign numbers   

The police officer said that to avoid being caught, the accused were using foreign numbers given by their Pakistani handlers. FIR has been registered against them under sections of BNS and Arms Act.

Weapons and phones recovered  

During the search, the police recovered one Zigana pistol, one 30 bore pistol, nine cartridges and five mobile phones from the accused. The Special Cell had received intelligence input that ISI agent Shehzad Bhatti along with his associates was planning a terrorist attack in Delhi-NCR. For this he had recruited the youth of Punjab.
