Importantly, the Society of Indian Automobile Industry (SIAM) has also made it clear that vehicle manufacturing companies will fully respect the warranty and insurance conditions of vehicles using E20 standard fuel. Bees and ants claims exposed

Another strange claim being made on the internet is that E20 petrol causes ants or bees to accumulate on the fuel tank. The government rejected this outright and said that the investigation by Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) has made it clear that the fuel-grade ethanol mixed in petrol is completely sugar-free. Such elements are added to it which keep insects away from the vehicle.

Will it really cost water to make E20?

The ministry also termed as false the claim that 10,000 liters of water is used to make one liter of ethanol. The reality is that only surplus or spoiled grains and excess quantities of sugarcane are being used to make ethanol.
