Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s Debut On Hold: Team India’s bowling coach Morne Morkel has given a big statement about 15-year-old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He clarified that despite Vaibhav joining the team or his excellent performance, there is no threat to the places of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma at the moment.
Morkel says that the Indian team will continue to rely on those players who have performed consistently well in the last few years and have played an important role in making the team successful in ICC tournaments.
Not in favor of making any major changes
During the press conference held in Manchester, Morkel said that the basis of any team’s success is trust in the players and giving them continuous opportunities. He said that players who win the World Cup cannot be judged on the basis of a few matches. Such players have performed brilliantly for the team in difficult conditions and their experience is very important for the Indian team. Therefore, the team management is not in favor of making any major changes in haste.

However, Morkel also openly praised the abilities of Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He said that the way Vaibhav has impressed everyone with his batting in the nets at such a young age is amazing. He has full potential to succeed at the international level. Expressing confidence in Vaibhav, Morkel said that whenever Vaibhav gets a chance to play for the Indian team, he will be fully prepared and will give the best performance of his talent.

Abhishek and Sanju will remain in the team
He said that Abhishek Sharma has been the number-1 batsman in T20 cricket and Sanju Samson was a part of the World Cup winning team, we should not forget all this and have faith in our players. Morkel also indicated that the team management is working on a strategy to gradually develop the young players, so that they can get the right opportunities at the right time. According to Morkel, maintaining a balance between experience and young players is the biggest strength of Team India.
