The death under suspicious circumstances of two real brothers of the same family within twenty days in Banpurwa village of Handia police station area has shocked the entire area. Due to these continuous incidents, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the family and the mother’s lap has become empty. Along with mourning, huge anger is also being seen among the people in the village.

According to the information, on June 9, the body of the family’s younger son and newly married Santosh Kumar was found hanging from a neem tree outside the village. Even at that time, the family members had termed the incident as suspicious and expressed fear of murder. However, the police had started investigating the matter. The family had not yet recovered from this deep shock that on July 3, the body of elder brother Sushil Kumar was found hanging with the help of a dupatta in the tin shed room of the house. The death of two consecutive brothers spread a sensation in the entire village and a large number of villagers gathered at the spot.

The relatives of the deceased allege that by killing both the brothers, an attempt was made to make it look like suicide. The brother of the deceased has filed a named complaint against five people including the local MLA, demanding an impartial investigation and strict action. Angered by the incident, the villagers protested by blocking the road and raised slogans against the police administration. The protesters said that if an impartial investigation into the first incident had been conducted on time, perhaps the second incident could have been avoided. The villagers demanded a high-level and impartial investigation into the entire incident.

On receiving the information, police and administrative officials reached the spot. The officials ended the jam by convincing the villagers and assured that the matter would be investigated impartially from every aspect.
