Big blast in Uttarakhand: CM Dhami and Governor gave such a big gift to Dehradun!
Rishikesh. Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand has taken a big step to further accelerate its development journey. During a grand program organized at IDPL grounds in Rishikesh, Governor of the state Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the Seva Pakhwada campaign ‘Service, Good Governance and Dedication: People’s Government, People’s Door’. On this occasion, 51 development projects costing more than Rs 219 crore for Dehradun district were also inaugurated and foundation stone laid.
In fact, the Governor congratulated Pushkar Singh Dhami on the completion of five successful years as Chief Minister and praised his leadership. The Governor clearly said that Uttarakhand has today emerged as a new center of development and investment within the country. During this program, Chief Minister Dhami expressed gratitude to the people of the state and said that this is not an occasion for celebration, but for introspection and further strengthening the resolve to serve the public. The direct aim of the government is to make Uttarakhand the most developed and best state in the country by the year 2035.
Gift of ₹219 crore and congratulations from the Governor
Amidst the huge crowd gathered in Rishikesh, Governor Gurmeet Singh said that this Seva Pakhwada campaign shows the sincerity of the government towards good governance and public welfare. The real success of democracy is when the benefits of the schemes reach the last person in the society with complete transparency. Praising CM Dhami’s five-year tenure, he said that it is a symbol of stability and unwavering trust of the people.
UCC and strict laws changed the picture of the state
After laying the foundation stone of 51 development projects of Dehradun district, there was also mention of strict decisions taken by the state government. The Governor reminded that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). Along with this, the country’s strictest anti-copying law brought to secure the future of the youth, ban on forced conversion and strict legal provisions against those who damage government property have given a new direction to law and order and good governance in the state.
Referring to women empowerment, he praised the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme and 30 percent horizontal reservation for women in government jobs. In fact, the ongoing homestay scheme in the state, Global Investors Summit and reconstruction works of Kedarnath-Badrinath Dham have attracted investors towards the state.
Resolve for better Uttarakhand by the year 2035
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami became emotional and said that exactly five years ago he got the opportunity to serve Devbhoomi. He described the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of the state as his biggest strength. CM said that our government does not just make plans in files, but also implements them on the ground. This is the reason why investment of more than Rs 1 lakh crore from the proposals received through the Global Investors Summit is visible on the ground today.
The Chief Minister bluntly instructed the officials from the stage to go among the people themselves, solve their problems on the spot and ensure that the slogan of ‘people’s government, people’s doors’ proves true. It is being told that on this occasion, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat and a large number of public representatives and senior officials were present.
