Superintendent of Police did a surprise inspection of Shaktinagar police station, took stock of the police station arrangements.

On Saturday, 04.07.2026, a surprise inspection of Shaktinagar police station was conducted by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Shri Abhishek Verma. During the inspection, the first salute was given to the Superintendent of Police by the guard. Thereafter, after thoroughly inspecting the police station office, visitor’s room, police station premises, records, crime register, goods register, Malkhana, functioning of CCTV cameras and other police station arrangements, necessary guidelines were given to the concerned officers and employees. He gave instructions to keep the records updated, maintain cleanliness of the police station premises and ensure transparency and quality in office work.
The Superintendent of Police also inspected Mission Shakti Room, Women Help Desk and Cyber Help Desk. During this, while reviewing the crimes and pending cases related to women, it was directed that prompt, sensitive and effective action should be ensured on every complaint related to women and girls. He directed to continuously conduct campaigns related to women’s safety and empowerment effectively and ensure prompt and quality disposal of complaints related to cyber crimes.

During the inspection, the police station mess and barracks were also inspected. The Superintendent of Police took stock of the quality of food, cleanliness and residential arrangements of police personnel and gave necessary corrective instructions. Also, by communicating with the recruited constables appointed at the police station, information was obtained about their working style, discipline and police work. He inspired the recruited constables to work with the public with decent behavior, disciplined working style, devotion and service spirit and instructed them to maintain the dignity of police service.
During the inspection, a thorough review of the investigations pending for more than 60 days and 90 days was done by the Superintendent of Police. While receiving case-wise information from the investigators, he directed to ensure quality and timely disposal of the pending investigations, to make effective use of scientific and technical evidence, to arrest the wanted accused quickly and to ensure timely compliance with the court related work. Also, special emphasis was laid on ensuring effective prosecution of crimes and conducting every investigation in a fair and legal manner.
With the aim of making the information system more strong and active in rural areas, the Superintendent of Police encouraged the village guards present by distributing turbans, torches and whistles. He appealed to the village guards to strengthen the coordination between the police and the public by immediately sending information related to suspicious activities, criminals and law and order in their respective areas to the local police.
At the end of the inspection, the Superintendent of Police directed all the officers and employees of Shaktinagar police station to work with full dedication and responsibility for quality and timely disposal of complaints of the public, effective control of crimes, regular patrolling, arrest of wanted accused and maintaining law and order, so that the public’s trust and sense of security towards the police becomes stronger.
