Devotees should not come on Amarnath Yatra without valid registration: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha has appealed to the devotees going on Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra to come on the Yatra only after getting valid registration for their scheduled date. He said that due to the arrival of large number of unregistered pilgrims, the travel management is being affected and the registered pilgrims are also having to wait unnecessarily.

Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra on Saturday-2026 While presiding over the high level meeting organized to review the arrangements of the Yatra, the Lieutenant Governor reviewed the overall management of the Yatra., security system, movement of devotees, traffic control, Accommodation, Took detailed review of registration arrangements and other logistics preparations.

Officials informed in the meeting that a large number of devotees are reaching Jammu and Kashmir without valid travel registration. On this the Lieutenant Governor gave clear instructions that Only devotees holding valid Yatra Registration Permit for the prescribed date will be allowed to proceed on the route leading to the Holy Cave Temple.

Manoj Sinha said that Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is being conducted as per the prescribed capacity as per the instructions of the Supreme Court. In such a situation, safety of devotees, Strict adherence to the registration schedule is necessary for convenience and smooth conduct of the Yatra.

Those devotees who have not yet registered, Appealed to them to postpone their travel for a few days and first obtain a valid travel registration permit as per the prescribed procedure. With this, they will not have to face any kind of inconvenience when they reach Jammu and Kashmir.

Civil Administration including Chief Secretary Atal Dullu in the review meeting, Police, Senior officials of security forces and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board were present. Security of travel routes in the meeting, traffic management, housing arrangement, Medical facilities and other essential services were also reviewed.

Lieutenant Governor appointed all departments, Instructed security agencies and related institutions to work with mutual coordination. He started langar committees, Emphasis was also laid on maintaining constant communication with service providers and voluntary organizations., So that Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is safe for every devotee., easy, Remain organized and spiritually satisfying.
