Samay Raina Stunned As Cop Walks Onto India’s Got Latent 2 Set, Says ‘Voh Pichla Season Tha’

Mumbai: The second episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’ Season 2 featured an unexpected moment when a policeman, Kapil Dinkar, walked onto the stage.

His arrival briefly caught host Samay Raina off guard, setting up one of the funniest exchanges.

As the policeman walked towards the stage, Samay joked, “Sir voh pichla season tha (It was the last season sir)”.

Taking a dig at Samay, the cop quipped, “Phir se shuru kar diya yeh, pichli baar chain nahi pada bandh karwake? (You’re doing this again? Wasn’t getting it shut down the last time enough for you?)”

Unaware that Dinkar was an actual police constable, Samay initially told him that he couldn’t wear a police uniform on stage like that.

Dinkar then revealed that he is indeed a serving constable with the Uttar Pradesh Police, leaving everyone surprised.

“I can’t believe police wale aa gaye perform karne yaar,” Samay said, while offering the policeman a cup of tea.

After Dinkar wrapped up his performance, panelists Kiku Sharda and Haarsh Limbachiyaa applauded his act and praised his singing.

“Jis jispe FIR hai sab tareef kar rahe hai. (Everyone who has an FIR against them is complimenting you),” Samay joked.

Expressing excitement, Samay stated that it was cool to have a cop on the show.

“Police bhi dekhti hai,” he said.

Haarsh said, “police hi toh dekhti hai.(It’s only police who watches the show.)”

Dinkar then revealed that he was selected for Uttar Pradesh Police force in 2021, and is currently posted in Meerut.

He shared that becoming a police officer was his mother’s dream, while singing has always been his passion.

“Main department ka iklauta banda hoon jisko music karne ki permission hai,( I’m the only person in my department who has permission to pursue music),” Dinkar said.
