Crunchy Masala Makhana
Serve crunchy masala makhana with tea to guests. To make this, heat one spoon of ghee in a pan. Then add makhana and fry on low flame for 4-5 minutes, until they become crunchy.
Now turn off the gas and add salt, black pepper, chaat masala and some roasted cumin powder as per taste to the hot makhanas and mix well.

If you want to make something different for your guests with potatoes, paneer or chickpeas, then Makhana curry is a great option. For this, fry 1 cup of makhana in one spoon of ghee till it becomes crisp.
Then heat oil in a pan and add cumin, onion, ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree and fry. Add turmeric, chilli, coriander powder, garam masala and salt as per taste. To thicken the gravy, add some cashew paste and water and boil. Finally add roasted makhana and kasoori methi, cook for 2 minutes and serve hot.
Makhana Kheer
If you want to serve something special to guests for lunch or dinner, then make Makhana Kheer. For this, fry the makhanas in ghee and grind them coarsely.
Now keep milk in a vessel to boil. When the milk becomes thick, add coarsely ground makhana, sugar and chopped cashew-almonds to it. Cook it on low flame for 5 to 7 minutes. Finally add some cardamom powder. Makhana kheer is ready, cool it and serve it, it will taste even more delicious.
