Minister Satpal Maharaj spoke on the issue of misappropriation in Badrinath Dham
Dehradun: Minister Satpal Maharaj said that in the investigation of the allegations of gold theft in Kedarnath Dham, nothing was found in the past.
Amid allegations of alleged manipulation in offerings at Badrinath Dham, Endowment and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj said that nothing will be achieved by creating noise. The opposition should give evidence, we are ready for all types of investigations. Minister Satpal Maharaj said that in the investigation of the allegations of gold theft in Kedarnath Dham, nothing was found in the past.
The minister said that I myself had got the Kedarnath Dham case investigated. In the gold that was there, the temple committee had not only coated the gold in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple but also had plastic coating done for its protection. Questioning the same, baseless allegations of theft of 200 kg gold were made.

The tradition of donation in Badrinath and Kedarnath is years old. Said, we have given strict instructions on the allegations against the employee. Investigation is being conducted. Also, BKTC Chairman has been asked to make concrete arrangements for CCTV. The minister said that the opposition is only creating an atmosphere by making allegations, which is wrong. If there is proof then give it to the government.

Investigation into allegations of financial misappropriation begins
Investigation has started into the allegations of financial misappropriation against an employee of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) in Badrinath Dham. The committee has constituted a four-member high-level investigation committee for an impartial investigation of the matter. BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi has directed the committee to submit the investigation report within a week. Besides, an internal team (departmental) has also been formed to investigate CCTV.
CEO Sohan Singh Rangar said that the matter is being investigated from every aspect. For this, the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the Badrinath temple complex is also being scrutinized. It is being told that in view of the investigation, the temple committee has kept the CCTV recordings of the last 40 days safe so that the necessary evidence can be examined.
