Eyes: Green vegetables like spinach, fenugreek and kale are rich in antioxidants called lutein and zeaxanthin. These elements protect the macula of the eyes and reduce the risk of cataracts and vision loss with increasing age.

Citrus fruits like orange, sweet lime, lemon and amla contain high amount of Vitamin C. Vitamin C keeps the blood vessels of the eyes strong and reduces the risk of cataracts. Amla juice or jam is very beneficial for the eyes.

Carrots are considered a boon for the eyes. It contains beta-carotene, which our body converts into vitamin A. Vitamin A keeps the retina of the eyes healthy and increases the ability to see clearly in the dark at night.

If you eat non-veg, then eat fishes like tuna or salmon. Vegetarian people can take flax seeds or chia seeds instead. The Omega-3 fatty acids present in them remove the problem of dryness of the eyes and strengthen the retina from within.

Vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids are found in abundance in dry fruits, especially almonds and walnuts. Vitamin E protects eye cells from damage caused by free radicals. Eating 4-5 soaked almonds every morning improves eyesight.
